Caspian is a cavity slider that holds an acoustic rating, the leaf runs into the wall, leaving the opening clear, without surrendering the separation the wall was built for.
The rating is tested on the complete assembly, cavity and door together, rather than claimed for the leaf alone which is what makes it specifiable where an acoustic requirement actually applies. The aluminium split jamb, rear post and floor track hold the pocket square under load, so the seals that earn the rating still close years after the surrounding wall has moved.
Tested with a 40 mm acoustic timber door, running on the Arctic track.
Every Silencio system is tested as a complete assembly in a nationally recognised laboratory — leaf, frame, seals and threshold together — and rated to AS/NZS ISO 717-1. The figures below are the tested laboratory ratings for each configuration we supply.
| Configuration | Rating |
|---|---|
| Single Cavity | Rw 42 |
| Biparting Cavity | Rw 41 |
Laboratory ratings for the complete tested system. Installed performance depends on the opening being built and sealed as tested.
