Expansion Joint

Expansion joints are incorporated in a building to allow movement in the structure which the plasterboard is fixed to. Plasterboard surfaces should be isolated from structural elements by installing Expansion Joints when;

• Plasterboard surface abuts any structural element or different wall type
• Long partition or wall runs
• In continuous ceiling areas
